Credit repair services
Credit repair that starts with the law, not with form letters
Legitimate credit repair corrects information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or cannot be verified. It cannot remove accurate, timely negative information. HelpFixMyCreditReport.com reviews all three bureau reports, identifies reporting that appears to violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and pursues correction through documented disputes and, where warranted, attorney advocacy.

What separates a reputable credit repair company from the rest
A reputable company tells you, before you pay anything, which items it believes are inaccurate and why. It does not promise a score, a number of deletions, or a timeline it cannot control.
Our work is directed by a licensed attorney, General Counsel Sean Madera, State Bar of Texas number 24094809, and is built around evidence rather than volume.
The short answer
Legitimate credit repair corrects information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or cannot be verified. It cannot remove accurate, timely negative information. HelpFixMyCreditReport.com reviews all three bureau reports, identifies reporting that appears to violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and pursues correction through documented disputes and, where warranted, attorney advocacy.
What credit repair can and cannot lawfully do
Federal law gives every consumer the right to dispute information in a credit file that is inaccurate or incomplete, and requires the credit bureau to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation, usually within thirty days. Information that cannot be verified must be corrected or deleted. Those rights are the entire foundation of legitimate credit repair.
No company can lawfully remove accurate, timely negative information. A late payment that actually happened, or a collection that is correctly reported and within the reporting period, is not something any firm can make disappear. Any company that promises otherwise, or that suggests creating a new credit identity, is describing conduct the Federal Trade Commission has warned consumers to avoid.
How our credit repair services work
Every engagement begins with a free, no-obligation initial review. We read each tradeline on your Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion reports and compare them against each other and against the documents you have. Disagreement between bureaus is often the first sign that a furnisher is reporting inaccurately.
Where we find reporting that appears inaccurate, we prepare disputes specific to the account and the month in question, attach the supporting proof, and send them by traceable means. We track every response. When a bureau or furnisher verifies information that the evidence shows is wrong, the matter is reviewed under attorney direction for escalation.
- Line-by-line review of all three bureau reports
- Written explanation of what appears inaccurate and why
- Account-specific disputes to bureaus and furnishers with supporting documents
- Tracking of every reinvestigation deadline and response
- Attorney-directed escalation when verified errors remain
Who our services are for
We work with consumers in every state who have found accounts they do not recognize, collections that are duplicated or already paid, late payments on months they paid on time, balances that do not match their statements, accounts belonging to another person, or identity theft entries that remain after they reported the fraud.
If your reports are accurate and the concern is simply a low score from real history, we will tell you so. In that case the honest advice is time, on-time payments, and lower utilization, and we would rather say that than sell a service that cannot help.
Fees, disclosures, and your rights under the Credit Repair Organizations Act
The Credit Repair Organizations Act protects consumers who hire credit repair providers. It requires a written contract, a disclosure of your rights, and a three business day period in which you may cancel without charge, and it prohibits charging for services before they are performed. Ask any company you are considering to show you how it complies.
We explain any cost in writing before work begins. The initial review is free and carries no obligation.
Common questions
Is credit repair legal?
Yes. Disputing inaccurate information is a right guaranteed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and credit repair providers are regulated by the Credit Repair Organizations Act. What is not legal is promising to remove accurate information or charging before services are performed.
How do I know if a credit repair company is legitimate?
A legitimate company gives you a written contract, explains your right to cancel within three business days, does not charge in advance, does not guarantee results, and can tell you which specific items it believes are inaccurate.
Can you guarantee my score will go up?
No one can honestly guarantee a score change. When an inaccurate negative item is corrected, scores often improve, but the amount depends on the rest of the file and the scoring model used.
Do you serve my state?
Yes. The Fair Credit Reporting Act is federal law, and we assist consumers nationwide.
